I didn't include "so-bad-they're-good" guilty pleasures (like THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE). I also stayed away from a lot of movies that were very good, but I always questioned whether they were really "horror" or not (like REPULSION or KWAIDAN).

1. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
2. VIY (This is a fantastic Soviet movie about a young priest who must spend a night in a crypt with a corpse and a witch that more people need to see!)

3. CARNIVAL OF SOULS
4. EYES WITHOUT A FACE
5. PSYCHO
6. ROSEMARY'S BABY

10. BLACK SUNDAY
